Welcome to a New Day for our First Montanans, our American Indian Nation neighbors. When I came into office I established the Governor's American Indian Nation (GAIN) Council to ensure a government to government commitment between the State of Montana and the Indian Nations within its borders. The purpose of this website is to keep you informed of the GAIN Council's activities and news. I invite you to discover all we are working on to enhance our relations with Montana Indian Nations.

Vision
The Governor's American Indian Nations (GAIN) Council provides a working environment that promotes cooperation and collaboration to build government to government partnerships between the State of Montana and Montana's American Indian Nations to provide improved communications between local, state, federal, and tribal government's services and a fair allocation of resources for State and Tribal citizens.
